How can people in dense urban environments channel their green waste away from landfills if they don’t have enough space or time to commit to indoor composting?
(com)Post Office is an urban composting network that leverages public and private “green spaces” and human-powered logistics to create a unified and pervasive network of mobile and stationary collection points. A proposal for the project was submitted in May 2009 to Eyebeam Art + Technology Center in collaboration with Publicworks Office.

Design research and copywriting for Fitwits, a character-driven series of activities to encourage children and families to adopt healthier lifestyles. The programs run in fifth grade classrooms, doctors’ offices, in the community, and on the Fitwits website.

Design research, planning and implementation of “Friends of Larimer,” a project encouraging civic expression in a targeted urban environment using carefully situated, low-tech communication platforms.
Research methods ranged from collecting and cataloging litter to attending church dinners as a participant-observer in community life. Analytical methods included mapping collected data and clustering emergent themes. Hopeful, creative workshops for youth to express their ideas for improving the neighborhood culminated in postcards sent to the Mayor.
